Elise B. Kretovics

Elise B. Kretovics (nee Broadfoot), 81, of Lorain died Thursday at Community Health Partners. Born in Greenock, Scotland, she lived in Lorain 79 years. A Lorain High School graduate, she worked as a monitor for Lorain Schools. She was a member of Delaware Avenue United Methodist Church, Lorain and taught Sunday School. She enjoyed gardening, oil painting, cooking, sewing and knitting. Survivors include her husband, William J. Kretovics Sr.; sons Jack of Campbell, Calif., Joseph of Kalamazoo, Mich., Mark of Kent, Tom of New Richmond, Wis., and William J. Jr. of Sheffield; 12 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and a sister, Margaret McClelland of North Canton. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Matilda (nee McSheffery) Broadfoot; a brother, Robert Broadfoot; and an infant son, James. Services will be private. Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home for Funerals, 1124 W. Fifth St., Lorain, is handling arrangements. — published Feb. 21, 2004 source
